Are you lucky enough to be in a very sunny area?
Take advantage of solar energy to heat up your water!
- Very basic “do it yourself” technique: Do like Harvey at Saladero Ecolodge, wrap a black coloured hose on the roof of the shower and run water into it: this is called a passive solar water heater!
- Buy a system: Do like Hotel Terra Barichara (see video above): use an active solar water heater system.
Tip: If you do not have enough of sunshine throughout the year, install for example a system that allows to switch from solar to electric energy when you want.
