A community’s identity represents nothing without its history, its heritage and its culture…Jeju Ecotours decided to integrate the elderly through the projects of tourism development in their communities. The company asks all of the village ancestors who are interested to compose a series of anecdotes and drawings retracing every aspect of their lives related to the community. The company then asks the younger generation from the community to collect and publish these books. This type of activity not only enforces the connection between opposite generations, it is also an essential tool for transmitting the local knowledge and heritage.
