Part of Yokam’s turnover, when it is important enough, is donated to a group of women (in Senegal, it is often women who are in charge, specially when it comes to manoey) from the village to meet the needs of the villagers.
Every year, the money managed by the women contribute to the development of the village, the infrastructures, etc.
Thus, the money created by Yokam tourism activity’s is directly used for collective and not individual collective.
