At the Eco-Logis d’Ensarnaut, Marianne and Christian decided to garden with nature and not against it, as it is often done. Thus, the “bad” grass does not exist; we may as well take benefit our of it.

Similarly, they do not strive to grow plants or trees that are not naturally in their element.

However, one must still be ensured that the premises are attractive and do not look like a jungle of nettles and brambles, the idea behind it, is not to scare customers.

Constraints: plants must bear slugs because Marianne and Christian chose not to put any chemicals, bear rabbits because they have their place in the Eco-Logis d’Ensarnaut, drought since the owners do not wish to water excessively, but also bear water in winter.

And the bet has been successful; each cottage includes a beautiful parterre of poppies, teasels, daisies, euphorbia, rosemary, etc.

Reduced mowing area

Rather than mowing huge lawn areas, at the Eco-Logis d’Ensarnaut, there are paths. The mowing process is then limited to small plots, which allows the usage of a push mower, powered by elbow grease!
