At VHC you will have a meaningful travel experience: you will generate a real social impact, tangible, strategic and sustainable in the Cartagena communities through the following options:

1. Get involved as a qualified volunteer: bring your experience and knowledge to the development of projects for the Foundation for Multidimensional Education. The FEM (Fundacion por la Educacion Multidimensional in Spanish) office is located in our lobby, so you will be able to receive first hand all the project information and know their leaders.
2. Get to know the best kept touristic secrets in Cartagena, through a unique and unforgettable experience that only an insider can offer: explore the local culture with any of the Cartagena Insider routes by FEM: #RutaChampetúa, #EnTuSalsa, #DrumSafari, #BazurtoMarketAdventure, #RutaZenú, amongst others.
3. Stay at VHC: with the simple decision to stay in our hostel you will be generating a social impact; 25% of the income and 18% of the hostel’s utilities are destined to finance the operation and expansion of the Foundation for Multidimensional Education’s projects.
