After a wonderful canoe trip across the bolongs to reach the island, we arrive at the Alouga camp. A traveler’s tree welcomes us and we are quickly carried away by the pleasant family atmosphere of this place.
Ecological by common sense since the first hour, the camp offers comfortable and close to nature accommodations. Dry toilets, African style shower, solar energy, handmade products and recycling are in place.
The village of Niomoune, where the camp is located, is very welcoming. We enjoy walking around the 4 different neighborhoods, discussing with the villagers we meet . Kassoumaïe !
We really feel good at the camp and around, time seems to stop as soon as we put our feet on the ground.
Hyacinthe organizes multiples excursions across the surrounding islands, from bivouac to ornithology, from discoveries to ecstasy, in a unique frame as closed to nature and to its people as you can be.
