Geese, horses, shacks made with flat stones, forest, roes and other cervids, caves… everything is here to allow for guests to reconnect with nature in a healthy and happy environment. The first guests hosted in this beautiful place came in 1963. At the time, the current owner’s grandfather was managing the domain.
Every year from November to April, the domain is closed to tourists. The managers devote their time to rear geese and turn them into traditional local products such as goose “pâté”, magrets, foie gras and confits, that guests can enjoy during the tourist season. Organic certifications do not exist at the moment for goose rearing, but the farmers do their best to apply responsible farming techniques: « We rear to meet our needs, never more », which represents 700 to 800 geese every year, slaughtered, processed and sold on the domain, in the shop or at the restaurant. The food is organic and geese are free to roam in total freedom on the field.

Août 2014: Justine et moi avons fait notre premier HopTrip à La Rhonie. Pendant 2 semaines, nous avons accompagné Marie-Rose et Serge pour prendre du recul sur leur activité à l’aube d’un tournant stratégique ainsi que sur la comm. Nous leur avons surtout proposé de se rapprocher de l’Auberge des VoyaJoueurs de Bretagne pour mettre en place un “quartier” avec des jeux. Quelques mois plus tard c’était chose faite !
Un accueil plus que chaleureux, un moment de partage exceptionnel et l’occasion de découvrir toute la très sympathique famille. Un goût de chez soi chez ces amoureux de leur terre, de leur patrimoine et de leur métier.
